Good Morning!  

I hope you all had a restful weekend! 

We are back it... gearing up for week 2!

 

Monday, March 23rd

 

High Frequency Words: where, help (new words)

 

  • Show your child the new words and ask them to read them, if they can’t, tell them what the word is and then ask them to create a sentence using that word.  Next, read the poem.

 

Poetry Notebook: Read Poem and have your child illustrate what the poem is about.

 

 

My Turtle

Where is my turtle?
He lives in a shell,
and he likes his home very well.
Help him poke his head out
when he wants to eat.
Help him put it back in,
when he wants to sleep.

 

 

Fundations:  Dictate the 10 words and one sentence. Please make sure names and the beginning of sentneces are capitalized. Please also be sure that there is appropriate punctation at the end of each sentence.

Shared Reading:  Listen to Ant and the Grasshopper on Raz Kids

Log on as usual

Writers Workshop:  Write about your favorite part of the story and why that was your favorite part.
