My name is Eunice Dieguez
and I will be the Spanish teacher
this year!

I am really excited to have your
child as a student in my Spanish
class.

My family a
nd I are originally from
Santiago de Cuba, so
Spanish is
my native language.

I will look forward to exploring

culture and foreign language
with you!

After the completion of this school year, the students will be able to
communicate in Spanish in a real-life situations. This year with your help,
I intend to grab my student's attention and spark their imagination,
showing
them the world of possibilities opened to them by learning
another
language.

This class is
CUMULATIVE,
which means
everything
builds upon
the material
you have
already
learned.
If you
fall behind,
you must
learn prior
material
in order
to understand
what we are
currently
working on.
ATTENDANCE
IS CRUCIAL
FOR SUCCESS!

In the interest of keeping the goal of our Spanish Program, we will provide the best quality instruction, so the students enjoy the benefit of learning a second language, by introducing to them many new and exciting aspects of the Spanish language and culture using a variety of meaningful and enjoyable teaching methods, technology and strategies.

In order to ensure that we have a successful and rewarding year in Spanish, we have stablished  Spanish Class Policies
As well as in other classes, we want to have a classroom where students and teacher  respect one another, and each other’s beliefs, property, and space. Most importantly, students must bring a positive attitude to every class, as a positive attitude makes students more open to learning thereby reaping greater rewards and satisfaction.

Acquiring a new language takes more than 50 minutes a day. The best way to learn a language is to use it as frequently as possible. Also, to be able to use the language you must learn new vocabulary. Therefore, it is HIGHLY suggested that students study their vocabulary for at least ten minutes each night. This will help you avoid having to “cram” for tests, and enable you to retain the vocabulary.

I thank you for the opportunity to broaden your child’s capability to accept and better understand other cultures. I am always at your service should there be any questions or concerns. I look forward to an exciting and rewarding year.

Hasta pronto,

Sra. Dieguez
