SPANISH 4

PRIMER SEMESTER

 

 

 Standards

CONVERSATIONS

Standard 1: Interpersonal Communication Interact with others in informal, one-on-one, or small group conversations using culturally appropriate language and gestures. (MOD.CLL.NL.1.1, MOD.CLL.NL.1.2, MOD.CLL.NM.1.3, MOD.CLL.NL.3.1, MOD.CLL.NL.3.2)

Standard 3: Present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience orally or in written form (MOD.CLL.NL.3.1, MOD.CLL.NM.2.3)

PACKETS/WRITING/VOCABULARY Standard 2: Interpretive Demonstrate an understanding of words and concepts presented in the target language and in authentic materials using listening, reading, and viewing strategies (MOD.CLL.NM.2.1, MOD.CLL.NM.2.3)

 

Your grade:

  1. Your grade will be mostly based on your participation and classwork. 
  2. You will have listening, written, spoken, and reading assignments.
  3. Your written classwook will be graded,
  4. You will have one more week  to do corrections to improve your grade after the due date.
  5. When doing corrections, don't forget to explain why your answer was wrong.
  6. Don't erase the previous answer, scratch it and write the new answer next to it.
  7. If you don't know how to correct a mistake, you can always ask your teacher or classmates. 
  8. If the work is turned in late without a valid excuse, the student will not be allowed to make corrections.
  9. After a week, the classwork will not be accepted, and the student will receive a zero.

 

LATE CLASSWORK

  • It will not be accepted after two weeks without a very valid excuse.

 HOMEWORK
  1. Your homework will mostly be to finish the assignments you didn't have time to do in class. 
  2. Using Google is prohibited, and if the teacher realizes Google was used, the student will get a zero on the assignment. 
  3. Homework is important and necessary in Spanish 4 because it will help you keep practicing Spanish outside the classroom.

Vocabulary Tests and Quizzes

  1. You will probable have only  one or two vocabulary tests or quizzes during the whole semester.
  2. You will know what to study ahead of

 Start by reviewing the grammar you will use with your partner using the Grammar Reference Packet.

¨ WRITTING - "Las vacaciones" 

 

 

  1. Write an essay about your favorite place for vacation using the previous verb tenses.

 

 

 Familiarize and learn vocabulary to talk about vacations.

(See the last column on teacher’s website, so you can find the required links to learn the vocabulary and practice listening skills)

 

 

 Note: We will be working on this assignment the first two weeks of school.

 

Remember

 

Use as much vocabulary as possible, be creative and ask questions to learn more!

Read the rubric to write your first essay.
