For the last two weeks we have been working on understanding and accurately pronouncing the phonetics of the Spanish language. Without this important lesson you would not be understood when you speak. It is difficult for an English speaker to gain a “natural” accent BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
As an extension activity (AKA EXTRA CREDIT) you have the opportunity to complete ONE of the following tasks. The tasks will be good for UP TO 3 points on your 4th Marking Period Grade depending on the QUALITY of your work.
The past week we have seen many examples in video of spoken Spanish. To prove your understanding of Spanish as a communicative device you can complete 1 of the following activities. Your work must be turned in through email to [email protected] by June 1st in order to get your extra credit.
- Record a VLOG of at least: 1 minute for Spanish 1 and 2/ and at least 2 minutes for Spanish 3/4. The theme is completely up to you, however it must be school appropriate and COMPLETELY IN SPANISH.
- Sing a Spanish Song! Record yourself (voice only) singing a song COMPLETLEY in Spanish. Here is a website that offers many Spanish Karaoke songs: https://www.karaoke-version.com/karaoke_free/karaoke_spanish.html
- Hold a text conversation with a classmate in Spanish. Text a classmate, theme of message up to you but must be school appropriate. Your conversation must be in complete Spanish sentences OF YOUR OWN WRITITNG (AKA I KNOW WHEN YOU USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE BECAUSE SOME OF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TAUGHT CERTAIN TENSES OR VOCABULARY) Your text conversation must be at least 12 lines (6 per partner) Screen shot the conversation and email it ! Both partners must turn in a copy to receive credit! If you have a relative that speaks Spanish you can also complete this assignment with that person insteadJ
