WL.7.1.NH.A.8 - [Cumulative Progress Indicator] - Identify some unique linguistic elements in English and the target language AND

WL.7.1.NH.A.1 - [Cumulative Progress Indicator] - Recognize familiar words and phrases, understand the main idea, and infer the meaning of some highly contextualized, unfamiliar spoken or written words in culturally authentic materials using electronic information and other sources related to targeted themes.

In order to assess(test) your knowledge on this unit I would normally give you a verbal quiz... however since that's no possible this is next best option!!

Mini Research Presentation

Imagine that you had a friend that has never heard anyone speak Spanish (CRAZY RUGHT?!?) You would like to help your friend so search the internet for a (school appropriate) video of at least 3 minutes in length COMPLETELY in Spanish. Share the link and Explain 1. what the video is about, 2. If it easy to understand and why you thought it was a good sample of the Spanish langauge and 3. a List of at least 10 cognates that apear in your vioeo example (HINT IF THERE ARE NOT 10 CHOSE ANOTHER VIDEO!)

This assignment will not be due until Wed the 29th as it may take you some time to find your right "materials" The next assignment will be posted on that date as well to give you ample time to complete this assignment.
