Learning Intentions: I am learning about the READ 180 Program and how it will help me to improve my readig fluency and comprehension. I am learning how to login with my username and password. I am learning about the various types of activities used in the READ 180 program.
Success Criteria:
I CAN list some reasons why it is important to increase my reading ability.
I CAN login the the READ 180 site.
I CAN start to track my progress in the READ 180 program.
Bellringer:
Students will each use the username and password provided to login to the READ 180 system.
Lesson Activities:
1. sucessfully login to site
2. class discussion on the types of activities.

Tuesday, 8/15 & Wednesday, 8/16
Learning Intentions:. I am learning how to login with my username and password. I am learning about the various types of activities used in the Reading zone in the READ 180 program. I am learning how to used fluency and expression, with appropriate pacing while performing a read aloud.
Success Criteria:
I CAN use my username and password to successfully login the the READ 180 program.
I CAN successfully use the activities in the Reading Zone.
I CAN answer 15 vocabulary and comprehension questions.
I CAN perform a read aloud with the class.
Bellringer:
Students will each use the username and password provided to login to the READ 180 system.
Lesson Activities:
1. sucessfully login to site
2. As a class, I will discuss the 5 zones in the instructional software, then focus on Reading Zone. (5-10 min)
3. Independently, they are to watch video, read a passage, use word window, complete the vocab and comprehensionn questions. Then they are to look at the reading zone report.( should take no less than 25-30 min)
4. As a class, we will perform a read aloud, working on fluency, appropriate pacing, and expression. (20-30 min)

2. Students will familiarize themselves with the WORD ZONE. They are to speak clearly in the word match activity.
3. They will learn about the speed zone and then check their progress.

Learning Intentions:. I am learning about the various types of activities used in the Spelling zone in the READ 180 program. I am learning how to used fluency and expression, with appropriate pacing while performing a read aloud.

I CAN use my username and password to successfully login the the READ 180 program.
I CAN successfully use the activities in the Spelling Zone.
I CAN complete the assessment
I CAN perform a read aloud with the class.

I CAN read silently for SSR

I CAN complete the activities in the success zone
Bellringer:
Students will each use the username and password provided to login to the READ 180 system.
Lesson Activities:
1.Class instruction with directions
2. Students will familiarize themselves with the SUCCESS ZONE. They are to speak clearly in the word match activity.
3. They will learn about the SUCCESS zone and then check their progress.
Homework:
Students are to have all Zones for "getting started" completed. Grades will be entered for completion.

Learning Intentions:. I am improving my reading lexile level by participation in READ 180 activities about magicians and visual perception/brain ability.
Success Criteria:
I CAN login and participate in READ 180 program.
I CAN watch the Anchor video to build background knowledge
I CAN read the introductory paragragh and answer the questions
I CAN answer the question "what do you think it means for our eyes to deceive us?"

Students will each use the username and password provided to login to the READ 180 system.

2. We will use the Rotations to complete the 5 zones in the instructional software)
3.. As a class, we will perform a read aloud, working on fluency, appropriate pacing, and expression. We will discuss the reading and answer questions.

I CAN answer the question "what do you think it the word manipulation means?"
I CAN read silently for SSR

3. Students will fiish up workshop 1 and have academic discussion and complete reflect responses.
