Monday, 8/14

Learning Intentions: I am learning about the High Five Fitness Program and how it will help me to have healthy habits throughout my life. I am learning that "being fit" means eating well, drinking plenty of water and move a lot each day.

 

Success Criteria: 

I CAN list some reasons why it is important to "be Fit".

I CAN list and explain the 3 goals to get Fit.

I CAN start to track my eating, water intake and movement in a weekly tracking chart.

 

Bellringer: 

Students will each think about what they have eaten for breakfast and lunch so that they can start filling in weeky tracker.

Lesson Activities:

1. tracking chart

2. group discussion about 3 goals to get fit

3. 1 mile express video

 

Homework: 

None

Tuesday, 8/15

I CAN talk about why we need daily physical activity

I CAN  track my eating, water intake and movement in a weekly tracking chart.

Students will each think about what they have eaten for breakfast and lunch so that they can start filling in weeky tracker.

2. group discussion about physical activity and why our body needs it

4. Horseshoes if we have time(start practicing for special Olympics)

I CAN  list a few benefits of staying hydrated

I CAN define hydration

I CAN  track my eating, water intake and movement in a weekly tracking chart.

Students will each think awhat they have eaten for breakfast and lunch so that they can start filling in weeky tracker.

Lesson Activities:

2. group discussion about the "drink" goal

3. 1 mile express video

4. Horseshoes (if time allows)
