I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

 

Can you believe it's our last Monday of the school year? We made it to the last week!

 

I'm looking forward to reading with a few students today!

Today is Virtual Field Trip Day!

 

You can check out these two websites and go on a virtual field trip of aquariums!

 

1. Monterey Bay Aquarium:  https://www.montereybayaquarium.org/animals-and-exhibits/live-web-cams

 

• This aquarium is in California so there is a time difference. You can watch their live web cams starting at 10 a.m. Riverdale time.  My favorite is the "Open Sea Cam". This weekend, I was able to see a hammerhead shark swim by which I thought was really cool!

• You can also see live feedings in the open sea exhibit at 2 p.m. and live feedings of the penguins at 6 p.m. 

• If you would like to learn more about the animals, go to the home website for Monterey Bay Aquarium and click on "Animals".  You can see pictures and read some really interesting facts about the animals.

 

2. Georgia Aquarium:

• This aquarium also has a lot of really cool webcams that you can click on.  My favorite was the Southern sea otter webcam! These animals are so cute and love to play and spin around in the water!
