FBLA Parliamentary Procedure Council
The Parliamentary Procedure Council will operate in a manner similar to those of state committees, the impetus behind it to teach members about Parliamentary Procedure and help them gain exposure to FBLA procedures at the state level. What differentiates the Council from committees, however, is that all members are accepted and welcome on video calls and Council groups and discussions.
You are invited as an Irvington HS member to take advantage of this opportunity and join this the Council. As with any new project or undertaking, the more people participate, the more successful the outcome.
The meetings of the Council will occur via online video calls. Members will get a glimpse
of parliamentary procedure and sample outlines of meetings of the state boards. This will not
only prepare younger members looking to become involved on the local, state, and national
levels, but also provide more experienced members with exposure to an integral side of FBLA.
While participation in every conference call will not be mandatory, it will be encouraged that you try your best to attend whenever possible and contribute when you can. Members will be asked to help
create study resources, aid with composing Parliamentary Procedure articles for the NJ FBLA publication, The Spotlight, and showcase their efforts in disseminating their gained knowledge to the members in their local chapters.
Let Mr. Wilson or Mr. Romano know if you would like to join the Parliamentary Procedure Council.
