Understanding the Covid-19 Vaccination

 

 

 

RNA or mRNA (messenger RNA vaccines) are the ones we are using in the U.S. 

 

 

 

Here's how they work:

 

 

 

1.  The mRNA instructs our cells to make a "Protein" that allows the virus to enter our cells.

 

 

2.  Once the protein is made, the cells break down the instructions and get rid of them.

 

 

3.  Our immune system then recognizes the protein, and starts making antibodies to fight off infections.
