II.         Behavior

Students are expected to arrive to class on time with all class material.

Students are to obey all school rules of discipline

Students are expected to respect the rights of other students to obtain an education and not infringe upon those rights by disrupting class.

Students are expected to do their own work and do it honestly.  Group projects and team work will reflect everyone’s sincere effort to strive for excellence.  Be proud of your work!

When the teacher is absent, all students will follow the directions given by the substitute teacher.  Every student is expected to complete all assigned work.

Unit assessment grades will be averaged to make up 25% of the Marking Period grade.

Engineering Process Report grades, Project grades, and Problem grades will be averaged to make up 30% of the Marking Period grade.

Constructive daily participation in class will make up 20% of the Marking Period grade.

To determine the Final Grade, each Marking Period grade will count as 20%, the Midterm Exam will count at 10%, and the Final Exam grade will count as 10%.

V.         Homework

Homework may occasionally be given.  Usually each assignment can be completed in approximately 30 minutes.  It is expected that the homework will be completed before coming to class.

VI.        Online Lessons

Students will be assigned a laptop computer in order to access CASE Online for most daily activities.  Students are expected to use the computers for the daily assignments and not for “surfing” or accessing sites and/or materials not pertaining to the lessons.

VII.       Extra Credit

Extra credit will be available to those students who complete all assignments and complete the extra work within the allotted time.  Extra credit will not be given to those students who have not completed their regular assignments.

VIII.      Progress Reports

Generally, twice per month, students will be issued progress reports to allow them to see their grades and know what work may be missing.  It is expected that students will check on Genesis and share these reports with their parents.
