Second grade has an early lunch this school year. It is ESSENTIAL that you pack your child an afternoon snack. We will have a designated snack period for your child to eat in the afternoon.

 

 

According to the School's Nutrition Policy:

  • An appropriate snack serving size should fit into a sandwich bag.
  • Snacks ARE NOT provided by the teacher.
  • Uneaten or unfinished snacks will be sent home.

 

Suggested Snack Items:

  • Pretzels
  • Goldfish crackers/Cheez-its
  • Fruit Snacks
  • Potato Chips
  • Granola Bar
  • Animal crackers
  • Cookies (3 - 4 is enough)
  • Cheese and cracker packs

 

Types of Snacks to AVOID if Possible:

  • Anything with peanut butter (Due to allergies)
  • Apple sauce, pudding, jello, fruit cups, yogurt (Anything requiring a spoon)
  • Doritos/Cheese Curls (These are messy)
  • Anything needing to be refridgerated
