Science Class Expectations – Read Carefully!

Be Prepared and On Time:

  • Always come to class on time and ready to work.

  • Bring the following every single day:

    • Science binder or notebook/folder

    • Blue or black pen and a pencil

    • Any classwork or homework that’s due

    • A fully charged Chromebook

    • A pair of headphones or earbuds (you’ll need them for Chromebook activities with sound)

Before Class Starts:

  • Line up in the hallway and wait quietly until your teacher invites you in.

  • When you enter the classroom:

    1. Go directly to your assigned seat.

    2. Look at the board and begin the Do Now silently and independently.

⚠️ The first 5 minutes of class are critical. No one should be:

  • Asking for water

  • Asking to go to the bathroom

  • Asking to go to your locker or anywhere else

  • Talking to friends

  • Distracting others in any way
This is when attendance is taken and important directions are given. If you miss them, you might miss the whole lesson.

Class Materials & Worksheets:

  • You will receive one copy of each worksheet.

  • If you lose it, you are responsible for printing a new one from OnCourse Classroom.

No extra locker trips will be allowed if you forget something!

What Happens if You Break the Rules:

1st time – Verbal warning
2nd time – Parent/guardian contact
3rd time or more – Write-up and office referral
Serious behavior may result in an immediate referral.

Tardies:
Be on time!
If you're late to class 5 times, you will receive a detention (district policy).
