Dear First Grade Families,

 

I am so excited to be teaching first grade at JFK School. First grade is such an amazing year and you will see your child grow in so many ways!  My goal is to facilitate a  classroom environment where each student will achieve success and become a confident, life-long learner.

 

 

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself, and my family.  I began my teaching career 25 years ago at Hamilton School before having my children.  I have taught first, second, and third grade.  My late husband and I have three wonderful children.  In September, my son Lucas will be a senior at BRHS, my daughter Ava will be a junior at Fairfield University, and my older son, Nick will be starting his first job as an Account Executive.  As a family, we are looking forward to the start of a new school year.  I am also greatly looking forward to working with you and your children.

 

I strongly believe that an excellent parent teacher relationship is necessary for maximum success.  We all have the same goal ~ for our children to be happy, challenged, comfortable, and secure at school.  I will communicate with you via notes, telephone calls, emails, and my teacher website.  I greatly encourage you to contact me with any concerns and/or questions you may have.
