Dear Boys and Girls,

 

Welcome to First Grade! I will be your First Grade teacher.  We will be working as a TEAM, making new friends, problem-solving, writing, and of course READING this year!  

 

As your teacher, I promise you that I will be in one of three places:

 

in front of you to cheer you on * behind you to have your back * and next to you so that you aren't walking alone!

 

 

I hope you have been having an awesome, fun-filled summer!  I have enjoyed spending days relaxing by my pool, watching sunsets on the beach, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm looking forward to one last getaway to Ocean City, NJ before school starts. Watching Nick, Ava, and Lucas enjoy special moments makes my heart smile.  I can't wait to hear all about your summer adventures when school begins.

It will be a full day!

 

I would like you to have some supplies at school.  Please make sure you have the following items to be shared at our community tables:

 

*2 boxes of Ticonderoga #2 pencils

*1 box of colorful eraser caps

* (2) boxes of Crayola crayons

*(4) Elmer's Glue Sticks

*(2) pictures of yourself 

*(2-4) BLACK dry erase markers

*1 set of headphones in a labeled ziplock bag

 

 

* Most importantly, a bright, big smile on the first day of school!  

You are going to LOVE  being in first grade!

 

In B-11, we will learn, laugh and grow as we begin each week with a “MARVELOUS MONDAY” and end with a “FABULOUS FRIDAY”.  We will have the opportunity to get to know one another on the first day of school and I can't wait!  We will be SOARING TO NEW HEIGHTS every day!  I hope to see all of your smiling faces! I am so excited:)
