I want to send a huge thank you to the Chiricolo Family for donating a beautiful Christmas Tree for our classroom.  It seems that those mischievous elves were at work in the past few months and ours went missing!

12/2 Half Day/Report Cards

12/3 Christmas Bazaar

12/8 School Mass Immaculate Conception

12/15 Christmas Show 7:00

12/16 Polar Express Day

12/22 First Grade Christmas Prayer Service at 10:00 and Christmas Party

Christmas Show and Christmas Prayer Service attire: The children will be dressed as angels/characters for both.  We ask that the boys wear pants, dress shoes and a lightweight festive shirt.  For the girls, something festive with dress shoes but no heels.  It gets hot on stage and on the altar wearing the costumes, so it's best to stay clear from sweaters!

For the Christmas Show, please plan on dropping off your child at 6:15 in the classroom.

Parents are welcome at the Prayer Service.

On Polar Express Day, the children may wear pajamas with sneakers. Please no slippers.

Please scroll down for the upcoming important dates. I will have the Children's Corner time slot tomorrow and will post it here as well as the HW page. Also, a few of our Specials will change days in the new marking period starting the week after Thanksgiving. Once I have the final schedule, I will post the days on my Specials tab to the left.

Thank you to all of the 1A families that so generously donated books for our classroom library!

Week of 9/12-9/16

I had a wonderful week getting to know your children!  They were happy to be back in school and happy to see their old friends and to meet new friends. They are working hard to remember our routine! However, I think they were most shocked when they realized that lunch comes BEFORE snack!

We are fully into Specials this week. Please remember Gym uniforms on Wednesday. 1A will have their pictures taken on Thursday. Starting this week your child will have Spelling homework each night in their H Book. They will be tested on the words on Friday and they will have a Reading test on Friday as well.  Please be sure to check the HW Tab each night for more info!

Please send in photos, parent questionnaires, Letter to Me, Math Book 1 covered, and an art smock on Monday.
