Update 9/13
We officially begin our first full week of school! The only change to our schedule is Music Instruction which begins this week. If you have a child leaving the classroom on Monday or Thursday it will be at 1:40. They will not miss any classroom instruction, but they will need to eat their snack quickly before heading over to the AAC.

Update 9/7
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day Weekend! Please send back the "All About Me" bags sometime this week. Each day we will have a few children share their bags.
As you are aware we have a couple of changes to our computer systems this year. We are now using FACTS and Google Classroom. What does that mean for you and what does that mean for me?
I will go over both systems on Back to School Night, but the most important change for you as a first grade parent is that I will be writing the daily HW and sharing any important updates on Google Classroom instead of OnCourse (which is the current link that you are brought to when you click on my SLG website.) For now I will post on both until the switchover is made official and you are able to log on to the google classroom account. I will have that information for you on Back to School Night. In the meantime if you are having any tech issues please reach out to Christina in our Tech Department.
Thursday: Your child brought home an Ice Breaker bag today. Please have them fill with 4 items that tell about them and send back next week. They may decorate the bag!
We had a great first day! I enjoyed meeting your children and learning a bit more about them.
We were busy today! We went over classroom expectations, as well as bathroom and lunch procedures. There will not be any formal HW assigned this week. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!

Ms. Esposito and I are looking forward to beginning our year together. It will be a great year filled with many new experiences and lots of fun!
