Dolch Sight Words

 

 

 

 

Dear Parents, 

The dolch sight words are the 220 most commonly read words. Many of these words are not able to be sounded out phonetically.  We will be working with your child to help them read these words automatically.  Just as in Kindergarten, it is important to practice these words at home as well.  As your child masters one list, please move onto the next list.  If your child gets more than five words wrong stay at that level.  Make a list of ten words at that level. Please don't increase the number of words, that will only build frustration. Please praise your child often!!  Thank you in advance for your help.
