Welcome back! This year we will be working together to develop an understanding of the field of chemistry. Because the universe is composed of matter, chemistry is central to all of the areas of science. We will work together this year to know the basic properties of matter, how different samples of matter interact with each other and how these interactions consume and produce energy. In addition to studying these topics in the classroom, we will work on building our skills in the laboratory so that we can apply the concepts we learn to real-world situations outside of the classroom.
