• Do you like to play chess, or are you interested in learning how to play?  If so, you are invited to join Live Oak Middle’s Chess Club.  The fee to join is $15 per person, and will include the cost of a shirt.  Limited to the first 20 students who sign up.  (Chess Club is full for the 2022-23 School Year)

 

• We will meet once per month on school club days to hang out and play chess. Chess club meetings will take place during 6th hour. (This is also the hour that 4-H club meets.)

LOM Chess Club By-Laws 2022-2023

1. LOM Chess Club will meet once a month on club days during 6th hour.

2. Any student in grades 5 and 6 will be allowed to join, but we will only take the first 20 students to sign up/pay dues.

3. Chess Club dues shall be $15 per year, which includes a club t-shirt.

4. A member may be dropped from the club or put on probation for disciplinary reasons (repeated disruptions during club meetings, etc.)

5. Club meetings will mainly consist of students playing chess, and will occasionally include sponsors teaching rules or strategies.
