Flat Jesus and Lenten Journal

 

 

 

In your child’s yellow folder, you will find a laminated Flat Jesus and a Lenten Journal.

During Lent, please have your child take Flat Jesus with them to a special activity or event each week. This could include going to Grandma’s house, a birthday party, family game or movie night, a sports game, the park, etc.

If possible, take a photo of your child and Flat Jesus during the activity and glue it into the journal. If you are unable to take a photo, your child may draw and color a picture instead.

For each entry:

• Write your child’s name and the date.
• Your child should write at least 3 sentences about what they did with Flat Jesus.
• Please make sure the sentences are ones your child can read independently, as they will be sharing their entries with the class.
• A printed or drawn picture matching their entry.

Students are required to complete at least one journal entry per week.
