A Few Reminders
Students should be in the classroom by 7:45 AM. If your child is late, they need a late slip from the main office.
Lunch/Recess is from 12-12:40 PM on regular school days. If you want to order lunch for your child, please do so on the school website. We are a cashless cafeteria. We have a snack every morning in our classroom at approx. 10:00. Please pack a healthy snack and water and pack it separately from their lunch, labeled. We are a peanut/nut-free classroom, so please do not send in food containing these allergens. Please let us know if any student has an allergy or health concern. I will post it and send it to the nurse.
Show and Tell is every Friday unless noted. All specials are posted on the website. We will post any schedule changes on our website each trimester.
Students are to wear their gym uniform and sneakers to school on the day we have gym.
Please check folders daily and return them to school the following day. Make sure papers are taken out before returning to school. All students should have a regular-sized backpack for school. The backpack should be standard size to accommodate all of child's belongings.
Please check our school website daily. The administration often posts important notices on the home page. Also, be sure to check our class website each day for news and homework. Homework will be given Monday through Thursday with clear directions.
Birthdays: In accordance with Saint Leo’s allergy policy, we do not allow outside snacks to be brought in from home. The birthday child may dress down for their birthday and be excused from homework that night. The whole class must have an invitation if you send birthday invitations to hand out at school. I will place them in take-home folders at the end of the day.
Holiday celebrations: If you send in a goody bag for any reason, it must not contain food or candy.
Please allow us 24 hours to respond to any email.

Transportation From School
If your child is taking the bus home, please write the bus number inside your child’s folder. If your child is a car rider, please write “car rider” inside the folder. Parents must notify the teacher in writing of any changes in dismissal (including if someone else will be picking up their child). If there is a last-minute change, please call the office. Do not rely on email. When sending notes to school, please do not put them on a Post-it (they easily get lost); all notes must have a date.
Dismissal Procedures
Car Riders will be dismissed from two different venues alphabetically. Last names A-K dismissal will be from the AAC. Last names L-Z will be dismissed from the cafeteria.
Bus riders will line up with their teacher and remain in grade-level bus classrooms until their bus is called.
When called over the P.A. system, P.M. Care will be escorted to the end of the hallway. Any change in schedule needs to be noted and emailed to the classroom teacher and P.M. Care coordinator; this is imperative to avoid any miscommunications.
