Sight Words (Trick Words)
Sight words require a lot of practice. These are words that are often needed to be remembered through sight and may not follow regular spelling patterns.
A new Decodable Reader will be introduced weekly.
Please save and practice reading your sight words using your Decodable Reader.
When your child is able to master these words , it not only makes it easier for them to read the words , it also improves thier fluency and determines how quckly and smoothly they can read.
We will move on to many different lists throughout the year and using these repetition games for high frequency words help to keep it fun and functional!!!!!!
Below are some Flash cards you can cut out and print for practice:
Two fun games to parctice with your child are Bingo and Memory Go Fish!!!
