Valentine’s Day Project

A Family Activity

We will be celebrating and focusing on the friendships we made at school.  Our class will participate in passing out Valentine’s / compliment cards, but we need your help figuring out  how we can collect ALL these awesome cards?  

What can you use? How will you make it? Decide with your child  what they can build or assemble to carry it all? Use a bag, box or whatever you can think of….

Some examples are pictured above for our  “Complement Activity” 

 

• You can make Valentine containers/ mailboxes as a family.  Please decorate a shoebox, tissue box, cereal box or any small sized box, bags, baskets, etc.  (brainstorm ideas, see what cards fit inside)

• Be creative and use your favorite book or character as a theme.  You can also just paste all your favorite things on (foam shapes, stickers, pom poms, ribbons and so on, just no food items like rice, cereal or pasta please).  

• Ask your child to imagine what they can make with a plane box! The possibilities are endless!

• Make sure there is a large enough opening for children to place cards inside.. (estimate and discuss with your child how large or wide the opening should be, or none at all? ) 

• Also attach child’s name so the other classmates can see who they are sending their friendship cards to (encourage children to “write” or scribble their names as well)  

 

   Please bring in on Tuesday February 10, so we can share your child’s creativity with our class.

Proyecto dia de San Valentin

Una Actividad familiar

Estaremos celebrando y enfocándonos en las amistades que hicimos en la escuela. Nuestra clase participará en la entrega de tarjetas de San Valentín o complementarias, pero necesitamos su ayuda para averiguar cómo podemos recolectar TODAS estas increíbles tarjetas.  ¿Qué puedes usar? ¿Cómo lo harás? ¿Decide con su hijo lo que puede construir y hacer? Use una bolsa, caja o lo que se le ocurra …...Algunos ejemplos se muestran arriba para nuestra "Actividad de complemento"

 

• Puedes hacer los contenedores / buzones de San Valentín en familia. Por favor, decore una caja de zapatos, una caja de pañuelos, una caja de cereal o cualquier caja pequeña, bolsas, canastas, etc.

 

• Sea creativo y utilice su libro favorito o muestre el carácter como tema. También puede pegar todas sus cosas favoritas (formas, pegatinas, algodón, cintas y así sucesivamente, simplemente no alimentos como arroz, cereales o pasta por favor).

 

• Asegúrese de que haya una abertura lo suficientemente grande para que los niños coloquen tarjetas adentro.

 

• También adjunte el nombre del niño para que los otros compañeros de clase puedan ver a qué caja están enviando sus tarjetas de amistad.

 

Por favor, traiga  el martes, 10 de febrero, para que podamos compartir la creatividad de su hijo con nuestra clase.
