Make an Online Collage!
Begin with a book! Click the link below to go to a read aloud of the book, Jennie's Hat, by Ezra Jack Keats:

After the book, ask your child, "What is a collage?" (A collage is a work of art made by cutting and gluing paper to make a picture.) Tell your child that today they are going to make a virtual collage! Instead of making a collage with scissors and glue, they are going to click and drag on the computer to make a collage!

Once at the website, click "Play" if you are ready to virtually collage, or the link for "detailed instructions" if you're not quite sure what to do. While playing, your child can change the character, the type of hat, flower, etc. to create the collage. When finished, you can either print out the collage, or send me a picture of the collage via email by taking a screen shot!
