Fun and Free Kid's Sites

These are all of my favorite sites and I allow the children to visit some of these during class.  If you know of any more sites that I should add that do not require membership fees or difficult registrations please let me know and I will be happy to add them to the list.

 

Starfall

This site offers letter recognition games, basic reading, and videos.  There is also several basic math skill games here.

This site offers lots of math and reading games as well as hundreds charts that are great for our children.

PBS Kids

This site has tons of educational activities including sesame street, word world, and all of our favorite pbs programs.

National Geographic-Kids

This site is especially good for introducing science and social studies concepts to your children.  Your children will love exploring this site.

Sheppard Software

I love this site! There is a section specifically for kindergarten and pre-k but there is also early math skills, geography, animals, nutrition, and seasons.

Seussville

This site allows your children to explore the world of Dr. Seuss.  There is lots of games that range from number recognition to letter matching.

Walkabouts

 

This site has fun reading and math videos that allow students to get up and move around while learning!  This website will remain free to use during school closures.  All you have to do is login with the username TeacherFree and password walkabouts to get started.

Scholastic 

This website combines reading, math, and science into one and includes videos and books to help students stay engaged as they learn.  This website is availabe during the school closures and covers topics from animals to space and seasons.  Each day is mapped out and the site is very user friendly.  Just type in the username Learning20 and password Clifford to get started.
