Welcome! My name is Carla Block-Ropiecki. I am your student's mathematics teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and I am so excited to be a partner in your student's education at the Middle School of Pleasantville!
During my employment with the Pleasantville School District, I have taught 6-8th grade mathematics, ELA, Social Studies, and Science at the Middle School of Pleasantville. I have also taught at the Pleasantville High School, as the teacher and/or co-teacher for regular education classes, resource room classes, BD classes, and Inclusion classes for an eclectic variety of courses to include: Introduction to Computer Applications, Multimedia using Adobe Creative Suite, Web Design using Dreamweaver, Fashion Marketing, Retail Marketing, Economics & Personal Finance, Math In Action, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry.

All About Me
I am married to Jeff Ropiecki (the world's greatest husband).
I have four awesome children.
Nina is 24 and graduated from the University of Tampa. She is a Registered Nurse in the Army and is stationed in Hawaii.
Kacy is 24 and attends ACCC. He works in Atlantic City. He enjoys Lacrosse and is a certified Lifeguard.
Scott is 21 and attends Colorado State University, majoring in BioChemical Engineering. He graduated from ACIT and ACCC with an AAS in Aviation Studies and started his own business, Front Range Drone Operations. Scott is in the Army ROTC, is an Eagle Scout, Lifeguard, and Security Guard, and enjoys playing Lacrosse.
Christopher is 18 and begins ACIT Welding classes this month. He enjoys lacrosse and ball hockey. Chris is an Eagle Scout, Lifeguard, and is taking SORO classes to be a Security Guard. He's addicted to TikTok and YouTube!
I love children! I fostered over 28 children in the past and adopted two for my own.
I have a dog, Izzy, and four cats, Sunni, Baby, Casey, and Socks n Boots.
I do NOT like to swim in water where I cannot see my feet!
My favorite movie is "It's A Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart.
My favorite color is green.
I love to read romances, sci-fi, futuristic, fantasy, historical, etc.
