Teacher development has moved beyond simple in-service workshops and has expanded into a more robust system of continuing education. In order to advance in their careers, teachers should seek out professional development opportunities which are ongoing and aligned with standards and assessments. I am a life-long learner. I am currently writing my dissertation, and have completed all the coursework towards a doctoral degree, in addition to recently completing my principal certification through the NJ Excel program. NJ EXCEL Model #2 is for teachers and educational specialists with supervisor certification and practicing supervisors with less than 5 years of supervisory experience — participants are required to complete all instructional seminars plus a minimum 300 hours of field-based experiences, projects, and internships. Certifications: Principal

 

I have heard the statement “inquiring minds want to know” and feel that it fits my persona perfectly. There is so much that I do not know, and there are so many things I would like to learn about. This journey is the result of my thirst for knowledge.
