Performing Arts Academy - Acting  (Intro, Intermediate, and Advanced) The acting component of the Academy uses a conservatory-style approach to prepare the student actor for the professional theatre world through the development of a personal acting process, systematic skills training, performance in productions, and study of theatre traditions, history, and styles. The curriculum includes workshops with the Manhattan Theater Club culminating in attendance at two Broadway performances. Each semester Academy members will be featured in the PAA Winter Wonderland and the Spring Class Acts plays. Students must audition for entrance into this pre-professional program.  Acting students will have multiple opportunities for extra-curricular performance projects.  The Acting Academy participates as a member of The International Thespian Society, Honoring Excellence in Educational Theater.  Students of the PAA will be given Mentorship opportunities for the Freshmen Academy and PAA productions.
