It is very important to constantly review the material that we cover in class. Should students feel they need an additional resource to assess their knowledge of the concepts that we have covered, please feel free to visit these websites. There are many activities, additional notes and online quizzes that students can use to supplement what we have covered in class.
Chemistry 4 Kids: http://www.chem4kids.com/ (This website provides page-length written summries of key topics in chemistry and includes short quizzes that can be taken to assess student understanding of each topic.)
Socratic Chemistry: https://socratic.org/chemistry/topics
(This website provides students with an itemized list of chemistry topics that have been linked to video tutorials that explain the topic in detail. If a student is struggling with a concept presented in class, these tutorials provide an alternate presentation of the topic that may be useful to the student.)
Online Scientific Calculator: http://web2.0calc.com/
(Although each student is encouraged to buy their own scientific calculator for use in class, if for whatever reason a student needs quick access to a scientific calculator at home and does not have one, this website provides a useful alternative.)
ChemReference Interactive Periodic Table and Reference Tables http://chemreference.com/
(This is a free app available through Google Chrome that contains an interactive periodic table that gives important properties for each element as well as tables of common conversion factros, formulas for common ions and links to supporting websites for many of the topics within our curriculum.)
In addition to the online resources described above, we will be using Google Classroom, Mastering Chemistry (AP Chemistry), Learning Catalytics (AP Chemistry), Socrative (General Chemistry) as well as a number of online simulations. These resources will be linked on each class's Google online stream.
