Star Student of the Day

 Each day a different child is picked to be the STAR. When the children  arrive to school they will find a certificate with their name on their table.

      I usually try to reinforce a positive action that  a child did the previous week. (For example, Joey was picked to be the STAR because he was kind and held the door open for a friend-Go Joey!!!)
      The STAR will have certain responseabilities , such as udating the math calendar,reading and writing the temperature, checking and updating the weather, Handing out papers,  He/she will also be the line leader, deliver the attendance to the office with a friend of their choosing, as well as lead the class in the Pledge of Allegiance!!!
      They just love being the Star (who wouldn't), and the hardest thing is just waiting for their turn!!
