Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome to second grade! I hope you and your family are having an enjoyable summer. I am so excited that you are in our class. We are going to have a terrific year filled with rewarding learning experiences and lots of fun too!
On the first day of school, we will be doing fun activities to get acquainted with each other. Please bring an item in a brown bag that is a clue to your hobbies, personality, or summer experiences to share.
We will have snack time every afternoon beginning on the first day of school. It is important that you bring a healthy snack. If you are able to supply extra snack for our classroom, it will be greatly appreciated as students often forget their snacks. If you wish, you can bring a water bottle with you since it may be warm the first few days of school.
Please note the Adamsville School policy regarding birthday celebrations. Food may no longer be brought in to school to celebrate birthdays. The policy can be found in the Adamsville Student Handbook.
Further, please make sure that we know about your plans for dismissal via a written note or email if your child has a change of dismissal. If your child is a bus rider, he or she must go home on the bus unless you send in a note to change the dismissal procedure. Your note should include your child's last name and my name so that it can be submitted to the office.

Our first day of school is Wednesday, September 6th.
Also, our Back To School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th at 6:30 so you can add this to your calendar. The sessions will run from 7:00 PM - 7:25 PM and 7:30 PM - 7:55 PM. Please attend the first session and join the second one if you can't make it to the first presentation.
