Summer Reading Resources!

book buddy

Our school district may have an updated list for you to choose from.  Look through our district website for that resource.

Please note:

  • Please consider reading this summer.  It will help you when you return to school.
  • While I encourage you to read what you like, try to pick books that are rich in language and content.
  • I have not read every book listed here or elsewhere, and there are many worthy books you may wish to read that are not on any of these lists.
  • These are only suggestions.
  • You can always Google other books or explore your local library system.
  • I always recommend that parents review your book choices with you - as I do for our in-class SSR activities.

General Resources:

The New York Public Library has a wide range of activities and lists.  There is a list of "Summer Staff Picks" by age group if you scroll down.  Please feel free to explore the rest of the site!
