About your teacher ~ Mrs. Moise

 

        I am a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is on the East Coast. I have been here on the West Coast for 25 years now. My husband Mac and I have been married for 24 years on August 14th. Mac is a Financial Advisor. We have two amazing children, our son, Mac IV is 21 years old, and our daughter, McKynzie Lee "Kynie", is 20. 
   Our kids keep us quite busy...  Mac is a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) on a D1 Baseball Scholarship. He plays baseball year-round and is currently studying Construction Management. Kynie is a junor and attends The University of Central Florida (UCF). Kynie is an education major, following in Momma's footsteps. Needless to say, we don't spend many nights/weekends at home since we are always running to baseball games or to Orlando to see our girl. I wouldn't change a thing though! Life is GREAT, I am truly blessed!
      My Bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education, which I received at Nova Southeastern University College of Education in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1999. This is my 25th year as a teacher in Lee County, and I attend workshops and trainings, take webinars online, and I work hard to stay current with the latest research on best practices for children.  
       I started my teaching career in a 2nd-grade full-time gifted class and then moved to teach Gifted resource/part-time at the K-5 level. I came to Diplomat in 2000 teaching 3rd grade for three years. This is now my 21st year teaching second grade at Diplomat and I LOVE IT! Before moving to Lee County I taught Pre-K and Kinder5 for 4 years in a private school in Boca Raton, Florida. I truly love my career!
       From the time I was seven years old, I wanted to become a teacher. Teaching children has become one of my passions in life! I can’t imagine a more rewarding career, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of the tight-knit family at Diplomat Elementary School!

Favorite Hobbies

#1 Spending time with my family- BEST THING EVER

#2 Beaching/Fishing/Hunting- my family loves to go to the beach and out fishing anytime we can. We love to fish whether it is on the boat, straight off the beach's edge, or wading the flats. The beach is my best friend, my happy place! We also hunt alligators when it is season and we can get tags. We love adventure!

#3 Working out- exercise is great for your heart and also a great reliever of stress! I wake up daily at 4:15 am to get in my morning run before starting my workday. My husband and I also work out 5-6 evenings at the gym.

TV Shows That's a tough one!  With our schedule we don't watch a lot of TV (only DVR)... my current favorites would have to be Grey's Anatomy, Blacklist, Yellowstone, and All American. 
Vacation Spot Anywhere with my family. :) The beach is my happy place, so I'll go somewhere to relax and spend time with my family!
Sports Team NFL Football- Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders all the way!!! I do, however, now love the Bucs and cheer them on since marrying my husband is a fan of the Bucs!  Aside from football, soccer is one of my favorite sports to watch.  This is due to the fact that I myself played soccer from the time I was 5 all the way through 4 years of college soccer at NSU and then played in an adult coed indoor league until a couple of years ago! 
Baseball- Tampa Bay Rays and my son's FGCU Eagles!!
I do watch ALL sports, especially during playoff times, but don't have a favorite team for them all... I am known to pull for the underdog!  I feel that everyone needs a chance to win and get that joy to make them love the game that much more!

 I have 4 pets at home currently... 

We have 1 cat (Lilly), and 3 dogs (Beau)- 11lb. Chihuahua/Shitzu mix, (Delilah)- 182lb. English Mastiff, & (Espn)- a 75lb. American Bulldog). 

 I also love to be outdoors, fishing, biking, running, hunting, boating, & anything else fun with my family!
Never Has Enough    ...time in a day/week/month to get everything accomplished!
