Each student will be issued a Chromebook to use daily in class, and these chromebooks are not allowed to be brought home. Students are expected to use the chromebooks as directed, and any "surfing" or game playing during class time will not be accepted.  We will also follow the TPSS guidelines for technology usage (found in the TPSS Student Handbook)

 

We will try to get as much work done in class using the devices, as possible, but there will be long term projects that may require students to have access to a device at home (ie science fair project).  

 

One suggestion:  Many kids like to use a cordless mouse, and I am totally fine with that, but please put your child's name on it.  Also, it may be helpful to purchase some sort of small bag to hold earbuds and a cordless mouse.  Do not buy a case for the chromebook, because it must charge in a cart at school.
