In 4th grade, we will not have Spelling tests each week.  I will give lists as needed, and we will focus on particular letter patterns that I see are needed with in the class.  When I give the kids Spelling words, I will give them hard copies to keep in their expandable folder. The format of the tests will be paper/pencil.  I will call out the words for the children to write once in print (to be graded).  Then, studets will have an opportunity to practice each word in cursive (not to be graded).
