more about me
Welcome and Bienvenido!

My name is Christine Eisenbrey and I am a word nerd.  I teach just Spanish now, at Springfield High School, but am certified to teach French as well.   I delight in languages in general and I speak French, Italian and a little German, too.  I enjoy my job and hope that my philosophy of serious learning and hard work will continue with my students long after they have been in my class.  I embrace cultures from all over the world and try to arouse curiosity and interest from my students.  We all learn from each other.

My interest in languages began at a fairly early age.  I was selected as an exchange student in high school and spent fourteen months in France as a "junior" in a high school outside of Paris.  Later (much later), I became  a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in French and Spanish. I also attended a university in Belgium called the Université de Mons Hainaut  located in Mons and procured a degree in Foreign Language Teaching Methodology.  I have also taken classes in Costa Rica, Barcelona and Sicily (Italian is a hobby). As far as my education goes, I keep learning.

I also offer a trip out of the country every other year.  So far we have visited France, Ireland, England, Greece, Italy, Spain and Costa Rica.  The whole community is welcome to travel with Springfield High School.  Stay tuned for meeting dates and notices around town.

Our trip to Costa Rica was a huge sucess and we are going to Peru and Machu Pichu for 2020. It will be a fabulous trip. Go to eftours.com and visit "Peru:Land of the Inca". Ms. Short and I look to the future and the next trip will be in 2023. We plan a head to give students and family members time to save and fund raise. We do chocolate sales twice a year and are hoping to plan other fund raisers.

I take my job seriously and try to treat each student as an individual with special talents.  I am readily accessible to aid my students at (6:30 a.m.) and after school (2:30 until...)and will work diligently with them to create a successful experience in foreign language.Call on me anytime.

Yours Truly,

Chris Eisenbrey
