READING 

  • Name sounds for: m, a, t, d, o, c, g, i, n, h, s, f, v, z, p, e, b, d, l, r, u, w, j, y, x, k 

  • Write the letter for the beginning sound of a picture (see letters above) 

  •  Write the letter for the ending sound of a picture (see letters above) 

  • Write middle sound - short a, o, i, u, or e – for a given picture 

  • Sound out, read, and spell simple 3 letter words with letters listed above: am, at, did, got, it, an, and, can, get, had, him, hot, if, its, in, on, not, sit, ten, red, ask, big, but, cut, let, ran, run, six, us, up, yes 

  • Read sight words: I, a, the, like, see, go, to, my, want, play, out, come, look, here, down, give, little, new, there, you, what, do, where, are, have, say 

  • Recognize if two words rhyme or not (pig, dig=yes    hot, sun=no) 

  • Listen to a word and say the beginning sound/not name the letter 

  • Listen to a word and say the ending sound/not name the letter 

  • Segment the sounds in a word (ex. cat is /c/  /a/  /t/) 

MATH 

  • Count aloud to 50 by ones without skipping #’s or being prompted 

  • Write numbers 6-10 correctly 

  • Name #’s 0-10 when shown in random order 

  • Count sets of up to 10 objects accurately, and write the correct numeral 

  • Make sets accurately with up to 10 objects using a ten frame 

  • Arrange a set of mixed up number cards in counting order from 1-10 

  • Compare numerals and identify greater than, less than, or equal   

(3 is greater than 1,   5 is less than 10,   9 is equal to 9) 

  • Measurement-Compare length, height, and weight, and id which item is longer, shorter, taller, heavier, lighter, or if they are the same size
