READING 

  • Name ALL UPPERCASE LETTERS 

  • Match uppercase and lowercase letters/ Write the matching letter 

  • Sound out/Read decodable words: will, well, tell, shall, off, so, no, we, me, he, be, she, green, keep, sleep, ate, came, make, made, take, ride, white, those, use

  • Read words with ck like chick, clock, & back and double consonants mm, nn, pp, bb, tt, cc, gg, rr, ss, ff, ll, dd, zz like dress, stuff, jazz, add, rabbit, puppet, muffin, ferret 

  • Delete the initial or final sound in a word-What is hop with the /h/? op What is jet without the /t/? je   

  • Change a sound in a wordTake the /o/ out of mop and put an /a/ the new word is map. 

  • Put the correct punctuation mark at the end of a sentence: period for telling sentence, question mark for asking sentence, or exclamation point for very excited sentence. 

 

MATH 

  • Count aloud to 100 by ones without skipping or being told any #’s 

  • Write by 10’s to 100 

  • Write #1-20 in order from memory 

  • Count groups of up to 20 objects in various arrangements and write the correct number 

  • Recognize and name + (plus) and – (minus) symbols and decide when to use them in a given number story 

  • ADD using objects or pictures with numbers up to 10 

  • SUBTRACT using objects or pictures with numbers up to 10 

  • Name 2D shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, diamond, oval 

  • Name 3D shapes: cube, cylinder, sphere, cone
