READING 

  • Name ALL letters and sounds for lowercase letters 

  • Name sounds for these consonant clusters (diagraphs and blends)sh, ch, th, ng, qu, st, sp, tr, br, fr, sk, nd, fl, lt, ck, mp, ft, cr, tw, pl, cl, dr, sw, gr 

  • Spell or Sound out & Read decodable wordsstop, jump, as, best, fast, has, help, his, is, just, must, went, much, wish, with, them, that, this, then, sing, bring, long 

  •  Read sight words:  from, when, why, all, for, good, who, said, pick, was, were, by, they (should already know I, a, see, the, like, my, go, to, want, play, out, come, here, look, give, down, little, new, there, you, what, do, where, are, have, say) 

  • Blend and Segment words with 4 or 5 sounds: example jump is j-u-m-p, spots is s-p-o-t-s 

  • Produce a rhyming word:  example-Teacher says cat, Student says fat, Teacher says bring, Student says wing  

 

MATH 

  • Count aloud to 100 by tens (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100) 

  • Count aloud to 75 by ones without skipping #’s or prompting 

  • Recognize and name numbers 11-20 in random order 

  • Count sets of up to 20 objects accurately, and write the correct number 

  • Make sets accurately with up to 11-20 objects when told/shown a number 

  • Arrange a set of mixed up number cards in counting order from 1-20 

  • Name 2D shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, diamond, oval 

  • Name 3D shapes: cube, cylinder, sphere, cone 

  • Describe characteristics of shapes: how many sides, how many vertices/corners, if 3D solid or 2D flat 

  • Sort shapes by a given characteristic, like 2D or 3D, # of sides, etc.
