& Procedures

Graded papers will go home once a week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  Please look them over and discuss them with your child. It is important to try and figure out why mistakes were made. (misunderstanding a problem or directions, not paying attention due to work speed, or lack of knowledge or understanding of the material)  The graded papers must be returned with the signed folder on the next class day.  Any comments or questions about test grades should be placed in the folder on top of the graded papers or written on the log sheet. Please remember to check Power School often as well, since assessments taken online won't be sent home.

Absences:

Students must keep up with their own work. Due to our classes switching it is very difficult for teachers to chase down students to make up work. Students should make up work during their free time such as during pe, recess, library, and before school. Students need to approach the teacher to pick an appropriate day for their make-up testing to be done. Testing should be completed in a reasonable amount of time, no more than one week after the absence.

For classwork, students will be given extra time based on the number of days absent. For example, if a student misses two days of school, then their classwork may be turned in up to two days late.

Assignments:

Classwork topics and homework assignments will be sent home on the weekly homework sheet and posted in the Class Tag app. Students should know and be able to state what needs to be done as homework and what was done in class.  Please check this daily.

Classwork will also be posted online in Google Classroom, iReady, and using other platforms. Your child has a list of all necessary login information.

It is your child's responsibility also to get the homework sheet and missed assignments upon the morning of his/her return to school when absent. Because these are also posted online, I was absent is not an acceptable excuse. Assingments should me made up in a timely manner during pull-outs, before school, or as homework.
