Work Schedule to Follow Each Day:

 

Daily Writing: 

Monday:  Write your draft acrostic poem about Spring.  Have an adult help you to proofread it.  Write your good copy on the Spring paper.

Tuesday: Complete "The Spring Wind Can't, The Spring Wind Can" poem. Be imaginative! Use adjectives!  Color the pictures when you are done.

Wednesday: Complete the "Signs of Spring" sheet after listening to our story in class. Extend the sentences.  Use adjectives and details in your writing. Draw a picture to illustrate your writing.

Thursday: After listening to our story in class, complete the "Being A Frog" sheet.  Give five reasons why you would like to be a frog in five separate sentences.  Then in five more sentences, tell why you would not like to be a frog.

Friday:  Complete the writing task for the Scholastic Magazine.

 

Reading:
Visit Razkids.com and have your child log in. Look up our school and my username: jgifford3. Once you find your child's name, click on it and they can select any books from their reading assignment or the book room. It's great reading and comprehension practice. Make sure they complete the reading comprehension questions at the end of each story. They can read as many books as they like on this site!

 

Math: Each day we will discuss the lesson listed below. If you need to review, visit the My Math website listed on your child's password sheet.

 

Monday: Chapter 11, Lesson 1, pages 645-650

Tuesday: Chapter 11, Lesson 2 pages 651-656

Wednesday: Chapter 11, Lesson 3 pages 657-662

Thursday: Chapter 11. Lesson 4 pages 665-670

Friday: Check My Progress pages 663-664 and Dreambox Math

 

If you want to do more math, go to Dreambox.com after completing the day's assignment. 

 

Handwriting: Complete two pages of handwriting each day. Take your time and write neatly!
