Social Studies:

Follow A Route - Read pages 142 and 143.  Record your answers to the questions on page 142 and be ready to discuss. Draw a map to show your route to school.  Add a compass rose to show directions.  Be ready to share it at our meet.

Points of View - Read pages 144-145.  Do any of these kinds of technology make a difference in your life?  Be ready to discuss.

What Doesn't Belong? - Find the items that do not belong in this urban setting!

Unit Review - Read over the questions on pages 149-151.  We will discuss the questions and answers when we meet.

 

Science:

Irreversible Changes - Read pages 93-94 and write aboutwhat the materials looked like before they are cooked or burned.  Describe them after they are cooked or burned.  What patterns do you see?  Do the hands on activity on page 95.  Be ready to discuss your results.

Take It Further - How Foods Change - Work through pages 97-98. Write a detailed response for the question on page 98.
