1. THREE RING BINDER (recommended, or notebook)

   - All handouts will be hole punched for proper storage and organization

   - This can be used in combination with other classes, with one section

      designated specifically for Science

   - If you cannot obtain a 3 ring binder, please let me know

2. SOMETHING TO WRITE WITH

   - It is required to come to class prepared to participate, points will be

     deducted from class preparation grade

   

*** Students are expected to copy daily "do firsts", take notes and keep handouts organized.  All Science materials should be kept together in one location, separate from other class subjects.  Notebooks and folders are acceptable, so long as students have a system for keeping their materials organized.

3. Google Classroom

    A majority of our assignments, directions, rubrics and resources, including notes, will be posted to our Google Classroom.  When textbook pages are required to complete an assignemnt, the required pages will be scanned and uploaded to Google classroom.  Select Google classroom from the menu for specific class codes.

   Select BrainPOP from the menu on my teacher website for specific class codes.

Supplemental Resources:

 

 

Notes will be provided to supplement and reinforce concepts we learn during class an will typically be assigned for homework.  It is crucial that notes are recorded and reviewed in order to prepare for tests, quizzes, projects and labs.  There is a class set of textbooks available in the classroom, for class use.  Students may borrow a textbook under special circumstances by discussing and properly signing out with the teacher.  If ever textbook pages are required to complete an assignment, the necessary pages will be scanned, uploaded and available on our Google classroom. The following website is a supplementary resource available to students to reference our curriculum concepts and to reinforce notes:

 

6. Access to Supplemental Online PSI SlideShow Resources - www.njctl.org

    Students can log in to our "class" by using our classroom ID: XWSM2J.

    Students will be shown how to access specific presentations as they are

    covered in class.

 

*** Students will always be told which resource, if any, they should be using as a resource to successfully complete assignments.  Most online assignments will be completed in class, and extended at home as needed.  Students with no access to technology at home should ask for a library pass.  Incomplete assignments for lack of technology will not be excused.
