In Foods One class students will learn about the wonderful power of food!

From small meals to catered events we will cover an array of cooking styles, benefits of certain foods, nutritional values and needs, dietary restrictions and food safety.

 

Students will learn…
knife skills: slice, chop, and dice foods,
how to properly cook different meats to industry standards,
to make simple but nutritious snacks and meals
how to make a grocery list and budget
sports nutrition
how to alter recipes
and how food is rooted in who we are and how we taste the world, including culinary tradition and culture

 

This single semester class will be extremely hands on and fast paced but lots of fun and mouth watering-ly delicious.
