September Family Tree Project

 

Dear Parents,

 

I have attached a family tree template for you and your child to fill out.  If you like, you can use your own or create one together as a family.  Please help your child by letting them know the full names of mom and dad, grandma or grandpa, as well as names of their aunts and uncles.  Since the children will need help identifying names, we ask that you include pictures of family members and paste/glue/tape them next to the relative.  You can also use a whole family photo too.  As many as you like.  

This is a fun and simple activity you can do together as a family.  It is also important that you let your child know you are writing names in the spaces.  It is okay if you leave the spaces blank if there aren’t any names to place there. 

The second part of this activity is to place the template on construction paper(any color), tag-board, or cardboard and make a tree.  Color it any color you like.  Let your child be creative.  Please send a picture or uplaod to folder. 

Your child will have the opportunity in our morning meeting to share their Family Tree with their classmates. Thank you.
