About Mrs. Stimmler:

Hello Timberlane students and parents! I'm Mrs. Stimmler, the School Counselor. As school counselor, my role is to provide solution-focused counseling services that will maximize your student’s academic, social, and emotional potential in an atmosphere of safety, trust, and positive regard. The 2018-2019 school year will be my nineteenth year as a counselor in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District.   I was educated at Bloomsburg University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. I also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling at The College of New Jersey.  I am certified as a Kindergarten through grade 12 school counselor in New Jersey and a Nationally Certified School Counselor. Previous to Hopewell Valley, I taught in the Mt. Laurel and Lenape Regional School District.  I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at The College of New Jersey in the Counselor Education Department.

My professional interests include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, relational aggression, educational therapy, brain development and the role executive functions play in learning.

My professional memberships have included the American School Counselor's Association, American Counseling Association, CHADD, and the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling. These memberships have allowed me to interact with school counselors from all over the country in order to keep current with issues that are important to students and parents.

I live in Doylestown, PA with my husband and our children:
