Other areas besides the Escape the Vape campaign that fostered learning outside the classroom include collaborations with stakeholders organizing for Evangeline Parish School District Special Olympics Fall and Spring Events, and community trick-or-treating- “Rock the Block,” which was hosted by a small business, HundredFold Coffee House, assisting at JSM school Literacy Night, after school Twilight-Tutoring program, and Recycling plastic.
This allowed students to facilitate leadership roles while engaging with city council members, school district leaders, and diverse people within the community.
