Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year!
I hope this information finds everyone safe and well.
This page will be used for introductory/general information. All student communication will be through Remind and Google classroom. I do not post Google Classroom codes here. Please use your first and last name to set up this remind account. I will only acknowledge proper first and last names that match my roster. All assignments will be posted in Google classroom. All student work will be submitted to the teacher through Google Classroom.
Parent communication will be managed through direct email and/or phone call. Parents please make sure your information is correct in Student Command. Send me an email if you need to make updates. We need accurate email addresses and phone numbers. Communication is crucial.
Reminds will be sent as needed to students. Students can see their assignment to-do lists in Google Classroom. Students will have multiple days to complete all assignments. It is important to set a schedule to meet deadlines for assignments. For students working from home, it can be overwhelming not to have the structure of the school, classroom, and teacher. I advise you to set a schedule, like you are going to a job every day. If more time is needed or you have technological difficulties with any assignment, please send me an email through Remind as soon as possible. Do not send this information after the due date has passed. Let me know why your work will not be on the submitted page of Google Classroom.
Please make sure you can access your Student Command. With a mix of online and in class learning, the grade book function will verify if you have turned in work. If a grade is not posted, I may have missed something in google classroom, especially if the grade is turned in late. Make sure your work gets graded. Send me a message if you have a blank in the gradebook. Ask questions if you do not see a grade posted in the portal. Students and Parents can email mail any time with questions. I will be actively returning emails as often as possible to prevent a backlog. If you have not heard from me in 24 hours, please resend your email.
