Grading Policy for Cycles 1 and 2

(as we see the direction the reopening plan takes I will update the remaining cycles)

Tests = 20%

Quizzes= 30%

Independent Assignments and Projects= 40%

Participation (includes attendance)= 10%

 

General Policy: you can retake any item you want except the midterm, final and SGO tests.  If you choose to retake or redo, the scores will be averaged.  For example, you do not want to give up and take a zero for an assigment.  If you redo it and score 100%, and I average that (0+100)/2=50% the grade is not good.  It is important to DO YOUR BEST because the more points you score, the better the average will be!

 

 

IMPORTANT: Always submit authentic work.  What does that mean?  Do not copy (from your peers or from google)!  If I find you copied someone's assignment you both end up with a zero and cannot redo the task.  You will always get partial credit even if your answer is not ideal.  I would rather get a wrong answer from you that I can work with and reteach so you can redo the assignment for a better score than waste my time reading something that someone else created.  Rememer I can google just as well as you!
